The Sawatch Range is truly an amazing range to be in because it lies nested between many other mountain ranges offering an endless treat for the eye that seems to change just enough from peak to peak to keep it interesting. The peaks in this range are fairly gentle with the exception of Holy Cross and offer may of the safer winter climbs.
