Description:
The San Miguel Range lies between the Needle Mountains and the Sneffels wilderness area near the town of Telluride. These peaks are extremely spectacular and very difficult. This range may have been named after the Mission San Miguel in New Mexico founded by Franciscan priest Fray Fermin De Lasuen.
